What is the Treatment
Like?
The
treatment researched at UCLA has been refined and developed
into a painless, rapid procedure that takes just minutes
to perform. Being prepared to stop smoking is a critical
part of your conversion from Smoker to Non- Smoker.
Very simply, to be prepared, you must have a real desire
to quit using tobacco.
It is common
knowledge that the first three days following the elimination
of nicotine intake in the body is a very painful time
to endure. For the average smoker, the treatment eliminates
the extreme cravings and agonizing symptoms associated
with withdrawal. The majority of the patients state
without hesitation that they are amazed at how little
they even want to use tobacco in any form ... and how
easy it is to stop.
If you are
smoking more than the average amount of one pack per
day, then you may experience stressful post-treatment
symptoms. In such a situation, a retreatrnent may be
necessary. If this occurs, please call for an immediate
retreatment. There is no additional charge for this
service.
Most smokers
have smokers for friends ... so LCSCC urges you to bring
your smoking spouse, friend(s) and co-workers with you
to your session to give you support during and after
the treatment. Even though the treatment will make quitting
seem easier, there may still be times when you are either
tempted or just habitually drawn to thinking about smoking.
